One of the outreach ministries at Holy Cross is the Senior Ministry. Several years ago it became a vision of Pastor Dave's to create a senior center to promote special functions and programs to reach out to the seniors in our community with opportunities to enjoy activities designed around their needs.

 

Bonnie Schillinger was named Senior Ministry Director in the summer of 2017. With the help of many volunteers, the ministry re-invented Senior Lunch Bunch, hosted a special Veterans Day program, took a group on a holiday mansion tour, assisted with several special social functions, and is the process of starting two new support groups, Shifting Sands and Recycled Parents (grandparents raising grandchildren). The director is also available to assist families in finding resources beneficial to seniors within the community.

 

Holy Cross plans to continue moving forward with this ministry so that seniors in our community can have a place they can go with loads of fun and dynamic programs structured to benefit them while building a spirit of camaraderie through fellowship.
