Cost is $32, and includes both vases.

You may take your flowers home after the 11 a.m. Service or leave them to be taken to homebound or hospitalized members.


Please make check payable to Holy Cross and mark for “Altar Flowers”, and write the dedication to print in the Sunday program.

SENIOR MINISTRY UPDATE

Holy Cross Senior Ministry is hosting a game day for Dominoes each Tuesday, from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. beginning October 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  If interested in joining the fun, call the Senior Ministry phone at 386-677-6080.

HOLY CROSS COLUMBARIUM IN OUR MEMORIAL GARDEN

In our Memorial Garden, there are niches available at the all-inclusive price of $1000 per niche.  The price includes opening and closing at time of need, engraving of the front cover, and perpetual care. For information, call John Watts at 788-4936.

FOOD PANTRY IS IN NEED OF DONATIONS

The Pantry is low on cereal, canned fruits, juice drinks, pastas, rice, peanut butter, jelly and canned meats such as tuna or chicken. You may choose to donate individual items OR prepare a "Ready Bag" complete for distribution as is.  The following guideline is provided if you choose to prepare a "Ready Bag".

     (ALL FOOD ITEMS MUST BE NON-PERISHABLE)

A. MEATS (1 per bag as follows):  You may choose from the following list.

     1 of these: Chicken, tuna or ham

     1 of these:  Chicken & Dumplings, chili, mini dinners, stew, ramen noodle bowls

B. Starch/Carbs (1 per bag)

     Mac & Cheese, pasta with sauce, boxed potatoes, gravy, rice or beans (canned or dry)

C. Vegetables (1 per bag)

D. Soups (1 per bag)

E. Miscellaneous (2 per bag)

     Peanut Butter, jelly, crackers, breakfast cereal, soy milk, canned juices, muffin or bread mixes.

You may bring food donations Sundays to the Main Lobby or to the Church Office Tuesday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

To reach Pastor Dave outside of office hours, please call his home number: 239-5132, not his cell phoneAlso, please remember that the hospitals no longer notify the office about hospitalized members, admitted or discharged.  Thus, either you, a family member, or a friend need to provide this notice to the hospital visitation ministry.  Notification when they're dismissed is also helpful.   Thanks for your assistance in helping us to serve you!  Also, to avoid violating privacy, if you want a "condition update" about a member's health issue, please contact the person or family, not the Pastor, to obtain this information.  For urgent spiritual care in Pastor's absence, please call Deacon Gary Darby at 233-9102.

1.  OPEN ARMS TO THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED - Suspended until September

Meets in the Parish Hall the second Saturday of each month, September thru May.  Volunteers welcome guests, serve food and coordinate programs and activities for the events. Call Mary @ 252-7487


2. THRIFT SHOP-

2273 Ridgewood Ave, S. Daytona.  Supports social ministry through funds from sale of  donated merchandise. Volunteers wait on customers, process and help display donated merchandise. Hours: Tues - Fri:  10 - 4; Sat: 10 - 1.  Call Jan @ 788-2284.


3. PRAYER MINISTRY

Volunteers pray daily for needs communicated to them by phone. Call Cora Darrin @ 492-5036 to post a prayer request or to volunteer to serve in this Ministry of Prayer.


4. MINISTRY OF HOSPITALITY -

In the worship area lobby. Volunteers greet & staff the coffee cart.  Sponsored as an outreach by the LWML as a service to members and guests.  Call Ellie @ 238-0938.


5.  HERITAGE CHOIR

Presents traditional choral music at the 9:45 and holiday services, Sept.-May. Rehearsals, Oct - May on Thursdays, 1:45 - 3 p.m.


6.  11:00 a.m.  WORSHIP TEAM

Volunteers sing and/or play instruments for the 11:00 a.m. service. Rehearsals @ 10 am Sundays. 


7. KIDSTUF

Our version of traditional Sunday School, 11:00-12, October thru May.  Kids age 3 and up learn spiritual and moral values while parents attend 11 a.m. Service.  Kidstuf will resume October 4th


8. SENIOR MINISTRY

Senior Lunch Bunch - Oct - May. Volunteers greet guests, serve lunch, help conduct bingo games, distribute prizes, help clean up after.

Fall and Spring Senior Fests and seminars - Call Pam @ 846-2411.


9. LWML MEETS SEPT-MAY THE 3rd Saturday

at 10 a.m. in the Chapel.  The LWML volunteers in the outreach ministry of Holy Cross supports both local and world- wide mission endeavors through the Mite Boxes. Call Sharon @ 386-428-0186.


10. HOLY CROSS FOOD PANTRY ­-

You may bring food donations Sundays to the Main Lobby or weekdays, 9-12 to the Church Office. For information call Marilyn Masilunis @ 767-2764.

DISTRIBUTION:

Members: T-F, 9-12, and Sunday mornings.

Non-members:  First Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon.
